A wide range of software applications support digital imaging. There are applications for producing
digital drawings, modifying digital photographic images, working with typography, as well as page
design and combining elements into one composite image.

The graphics produced through the use of these applications can be divided into two primary groups
or “graphic types”, object oriented (vector) and bit-mapped (raster).

Object oriented graphics are often used for line drawings, logos or any image that requires smooth,
crisp edges. One of the benefits of object-oriented graphics is that they can be enlarged, reduced or
distorted without loss of detail or sharpness.

Bit-mapped graphics are usually picture or photographic type images. Bit-mapped images are made
by “mapping” the image to an imaginary grid. Color or tint is applied to each square of the grid,
producing an overall image. Bit-mapped graphics cannot be enlarged without effecting image quality.

Digital images are printed and then cut to your design, for indoor or outdoor use.

Digital images can be applied to:

  • pressure-sensitive vinyl - in full color or spot color graphics for decals, window signs, point
of purchase displays, decals, hobby shop graphics, auto graphics, bumper stickers
  • canvas bags, shirts, hats - full color or spot color graphics
  • lexan - nameplates, control panels, overlays, architectural signage, point of purchase displays
  • magnetic vinyl - full color or spot color graphics for auto advertising or advertising specialties
  • cut vinyl - for sign or window graphics or lettering, or decals for auto windows or decorating
water skis, wake boards, skateboards, etc.
  • gold and silver polyester vinyl - nameplates or plaques
  • holographic film - eye catching decals, labels or graphics
  • security label stock - tamper-evident adhesive system on vinyl that reads “VOID” if the label
    is removed
  • static cling - graphics applied to clear or white non-adhesive material. Easily applied to any
interior glass or smooth, nonporous surface, adheres with no adhesive
  • window film - one-way graphics for VAN or SUV windows, retail window fronts, and other
    clear substrate displays
  • translucent vinyl - for backlit applications
